Nepal is a multi-ethnic state. The people in the Himalayan region of Mustang, in which Jharkor also lies, are Tibetans by dint of their language and culture – starting point and reason for Tibet expert and supporter Hubert von Goisern, to support our Nepal project. THe idea of a benefit concert came from him - and on 19th April the time had come.
Hubert von Goisern is considered to be the founder of alpine rock - "applied folk music", that moves the genre out of the dusty, backwoods corner in a sustainable form. In his performances with musicians from all over the world there is a rousing energy that combines critical messages and pure joie de vivre.
And that was exactly what the audience at the republic got to see, hear and feel. |

Hubert von Goisern, who made a gift of a concert to Director Mitgutsch at the end of his service and developed the programme with the students.
Wolfgang Spannberger, Hannes Peithner and Siegi Widerin from Hubert's team, who offered their services free of charge.
The students who invested a great deal of free time, and their music teacher, who assisted them rehearse with words and deeds.
